Vanilla Cupcakes

Although I occasionally go through phases where I rave about chocolate, at the core I’m a vanilla girl. When given the choice between a chocolate cupcake and a vanilla cupcake I’ll always go for vanilla. I knew I wanted the first cupcake I designed to be truly classic vanilla with buttercream frosting. The cake is moist and flavorful and perfectly complements the creamy icing.

Vanilla on top of vanilla is a sleek combination that never goes out of style. There’s an elegance to this classic cake, stemming mainly from its simplicity of design but is really far more than that. It is elegant in its flavor standing on its own without the need of anything else but the vanilla extract and buttercream frosting.

Cupcake ingredients: All purpose enriched bleached wheat flour, granulated sugar, canola oil, eggs, pure vanilla extract.

Frosting ingredients: Sweet cream salted butter, confectioners sugar, pure vanilla extract.
